Coquette is a winner! One of the most floriferous plants I grew this season. The gorgeous 5 inch blooms are constant. Perfect bloom angle as you can see from the pictures and videos. The sturdiest stems with fluffy, soft pastel blend of pink, and creamy opal tones. The petals are broad, slightly recurved, and densely layered with some petals lacinated and other perfectly rounded creating the most unique blooms. The color shifts slightly throughout the season creating a delicate ombré effect, but the cool part is the ombré shifts from a light center and darker petals, to a darker center reaching lighter petal tips. Overall, it has a romantic, luminous appearance that is breathtaking. Plant height 3.5’. Hybridized by Lee Hemings Carlton of Goldenrod Gardens and released in 2024.
B-Grade Dahlia Tuber: B-grade tubers are healthy, viable tubers that will grow and bloom true to variety. They may have multiple cosmetic imperfections, thin necks, runts, or have lost a little too much moisture. These tubers are fully plantable and will thrive for you, but did not meet our top-select standards for full price. B-grade tubers are normally tubers we would keep to plant ourselves, but we have extra and are selling at a significant discount. We will never send out a tuber that isn’t viable. There are no guarantees with B-grade tubers. Only purchase if you are comfortable with these conditions.
Honoring the Hybridizer: 10% of each sale of this variety is returned to Lee in appreciation and support of her breeding and hybridizing work. Information on Lee's seedlings can be found here.
