This season we are thrilled and honored to introduce brand new 2027 dahlia varieties from Galena Berkompas of Micro Flower Farm. This is the very first time any of Galena’s varieties have been offered to the public.
Galena's Fragolino is a 3 inch dahlia that blooms early and never stops. Strong, long dark stems, blooms packed with petals, great vase life, strong centers that never blow open and amazing tuber producer. These crushed strawberry colored blooms are to die for. One tuber clump of Fragolino gave me 27 tubers this season! Plant height 5’.
Product Listing: This listing is for one potted dahlia cutting. The rooting cube has been removed, and roots have been treated with Mykos Mycorrhizal Fungi Organic Root Stimulator. Two bottom sets of lateral leaves have been removed and nodes buried to encourage tuber production. Soil-less, Sunshine Mix #4 medium was used in a 3 inch pot. Potted cutting is securely shipped in a cardboard, reverse tuck box.
Honoring the Hybridizer: a portion of each sale from this variety is returned to Galena in appreciation and support of her breeding and hybridizing work. Information on Galena’s seedlings can be found here.
