Galena’s Rhubarb Pie Potted Cutting (2027 New Release)

This season we are thrilled and honored to introduce brand new 2027 dahlia varieties from Galena Berkompas of Micro Flower Farm. This is the very first time any of Galena’s varieties have been offered to the public.

From Galena: Galena's Rhubarb Pie is an incredibly prolific dahlia with strong stems, endless blooms, and petals for days! The plant sits right under 5 ft and blooms non-stop through the season: starting early and going right up to frost. Bloom size is 3.5 inches which is the perfect size for bouquets and arrangements. A strong tuber producer and makes fantastic seed pods as well.

When I was a girl, every summer I would harvest rhubarb from our small vegetable garden and make pies. This color reminds me of working in the kitchen making pie dough, chopping up the rhubarb and taking it out of the oven warm and bubbly.

Product Listing: This listing is for one potted dahlia cutting. The rooting cube has been removed, and roots have been treated with Mykos Mycorrhizal Fungi Organic Root Stimulator. Two bottom sets of lateral leaves have been removed and nodes buried to encourage tuber production. Soil-less, Sunshine Mix #4 medium was used in a 3 inch pot. Potted cutting is securely shipped in a cardboard, reverse tuck box.

Honoring the Hybridizer: a portion of each sale from this variety is returned to Galena in appreciation and support of her breeding and hybridizing work. Information on Galena’s seedlings can be found here.
